Hanspeter Wirth

Hanspeter Wirth designs furniture for a variety of furniture manufacturers in Switzerland and abroad. As founder and part owner of Formpol AG in Zurich, Wirth manages projects in the areas of product design and interior design. He is also a lecturer and mentor in industrial design at the Zurich University of the Arts.

Christophe Marchand

After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, Christophe Marchand studied industrial design at the Vocational College for Art and Design in Zurich. He set up his own studio in Zurich in 1993, and since 1997 he has also taught at the University of Art and Design Lausanne (ÉCAL). Marchand develops products for Alias, Embru, Thonet, Steelcase, ICF, Wogg, Team by Wellis and other companies in addition to Intertime.

Reto Frigg

Following an apprenticeship as a draughtsman, Reto Frigg completed a degree in interior design and product design at the Vocational College for Art and Design in Zurich. After working at a variety of architectural and design companies in Switzerland, he established his own company, Reto Frigg & Karen Schrader, Architecture and Design GmbH, where he is active in the areas of architecture, corporate design and product design.

This Weber

This Weber is a trained mechanic who studied jewellery design and industrial design at the Zurich University of the Arts. After working for a number of industrial designers and product developers, he opened his own atelier in Zurich in 2010. Weber is also a guest lecturer in furniture design at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Studio frieszumbuehl

The industrial designers Kevin Fries and Jakob Zumbühl began working together after they completed their degrees as designers at the Zurich University of the Arts. In 2007, they founded a communal studio in Zurich; 2010 saw them move to Winterthur, where they established their studio frieszumbuehl. Kevin Fries and Jakob Zumbühl have received several awards for their designs.

Martin Birrer

After completing studies as an interior designer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Basel and a number of internships in Switzerland and abroad, Martin Birrer spent several years at Studio Pignatelli Gestaltungsatelier AG in Zurich as well as at bally design inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since 1999, his company martinbirrer has conceptualized and realized design projects in interior design, exhibition design and product design. Martin Birrer has formed a working group with Benny Mosimann for Intertime.

Benny Mosimann

Mosimann completed a course as a product designer at the Vocational College for Art and Design in Zurich and then spent several years working for Greutmann Bolzern, AG für Gestaltung in Zurich. Since 1995, his Atelier für Gestaltung in Berne has realized projects in the areas of product development, interior design, exhibit design, graphics and signage. Since 2002, Mosimann has also been a guest expert at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Basel School of Design.Benny Mosimann has formed a working group with Martin Birrer for Intertime.

Werner Baumhakl

After earning a degree in architecture from the Technische Universität München (TUM), Werner Baumhakl went on to study industrial design at the renowned Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Gmünd (HfG Gmünd). He then worked for designer Wolfgang C.R. Mezger; for Rolf Heide, interior architect and designer in Hamburg; as studio manager for the “wiege” Wilkhahn design company in Hannover; and in the management team of designaffairs in Munich. In 2003 he founded the design agency “oid” (office industrial design). His design projects have won numerous international awards. In 2002 Werner Baumhakl was appointed Professor and Institute Head of the Academy of Art and Design of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) in Basel. He has been on the board of the Swiss Design Association and has participated in various design juries and commissions. Werner Baumhakl lives and works in Basel.
